Hands-free page turning

Page turner pedal vs camera gestures

Both approaches work. Which one fits depends on what your feet are doing, how much you carry, and how predictable your stage is. Here is the trade-off without the marketing.

Where the pedal wins

Tactile confirmation, zero ambiguity, and no camera pointing at you. If you sit still, have a free foot and never forget to charge things, a pedal is hard to beat.

Where gestures win

No pairing, no batteries, nothing to pack, and it works when both feet are already committed to sustain, volume or a kick drum. It is also the only option when there is no room for a pedal on a tight riser.

Using both

StageMate accepts arrow-key pedal input alongside gesture turning, so you can keep the pedal as a backup and let gestures cover the pages where your foot is busy.
