Looking for Piascore on Android? Keep playing with a blink

Seen a musician turn a score with a wink, but use an Android phone or tablet yourself? StageMate is an independent sheet music reader with blink and head-gesture page turning, so you can keep your hands on your instrument.

Check the publisher, not just the name

The Piascore, Inc. App Store listing is for iPhone and iPad. Its Android support article says an Android version has not been released, but that article dates from 2018; check the official website for newer announcements. Google Play also lists an app named PiaScore under IMO POCKET SHEET, a different publisher. A matching name alone does not identify the same product.

An Android option for hands-free reading

StageMate supports Android phones and tablets as well as iPhone and iPad. Core blink, head-gesture and Bluetooth page turning are free. It is a separate product with no affiliation to Piascore; start with a familiar score to see whether it suits the way you play.

Try a score before your next rehearsal

Import your own PDF or score images, place the device securely on your stand and keep your face visible to its front camera. Enable gesture turning and follow the in-app guidance to adjust the action and sensitivity. Practise forward and backward turns before playing a full piece. Lighting, distance and hardware affect detection, so test your performance setup and consider a Bluetooth page turner too.

Read, mark up and organise your music

Bring your own licensed PDFs or images, write fingerings and rehearsal reminders on the score, and arrange pieces into setlists. StageMate does not include Piascore's library or purchases. Optional Pro features and prices are shown in the app for your platform.

Moving existing scores

Start with your original PDF and test one import. To keep old markings, check whether the original app can export a PDF with visible annotations and inspect the exported file first. Accounts, purchases, setlists and editable annotation layers do not automatically transfer. Keep the old library until you have checked the new copies.

Try it on your own scores

Import PDF scores, add annotations, build setlists and turn pages hands-free. StageMate is available for Apple devices and Android. Features, cloud services and Pro purchases differ by platform; check the current plan before buying.
